Commitment to Child Welfare

Football for Refugees is committed to safeguarding the welfare of refugee children who participate in our football activities and their health and safety is our paramount concern.

We will ensure that everybody who works for Football For Refugees, whether in a professional or voluntary capacity, is aware of his or her obligations to the children with whom we work.

In pursuit of these goals Football for Refugees:

  1. Has adopted a Child Welfare Policy;
  2. Will ensure that all volunteers and/or employees who work for the organisation are adequately trained to apply at all times our Child Welfare Policy
  3. Will ensure that all new volunteers are the subject of appropriate checks by the Gardai in Ireland, or where the volunteer comes from another jurisdiction, the appropriate authority in that jurisdiction.
  4. Has appointed a Child Welfare Officer, Cormac McLoughlin.
